Homemade Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
3 Cups Flour (360g)
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (3g)
3 ½ Teaspoons Baking Powder (17.5g)
¼ Teaspoon Salt (1.5g)
½ Cup Sugar (96g)
2 Eggs, Lightly Beaten
2/3 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream (160ml)
½ Cup Melted Butter (120ml)
Filling:
½ Cup Sugar (96g)
4 Teaspoons Cinnamon (12g)
¼ Cup Softened Butter (56g)
Icing:
1 ½ Cups Powdered Sugar (180g)
1 Teaspoon Vanilla (5ml)
3-4 Teaspoons Milk (15-20ml)
Directions:
In a bowl, sift the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, and butter. Add to the flour mixture and mix until a dough forms. Form and roll dough into a rectangle that is ½ inch thick.
Stir together the filling ingredients in a bowl until well combined. Spread the filling over the dough. Roll the dough lengthwise into a jelly roll. Cut into slices about 1 inch thick. Grease a 9 by 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Place slices into dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for about 20 to 25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and vanilla, adding the milk one teaspoon at a time until the desired consistency forms. Drizzle the icing over warm rolls. Serve warm.
