DIY Spring Wreath | How to Decorate a Spring Wreath

Materials:

• Wire Wreath Frame 12in. (30.48cm)

• Garland Greenery or Vine 6ft. (1.83cm)

• 2 Long Stem Decorative Flower Bunches

• 2 Small Decorative Flowers Bunches

• Birdhouse

• Floral or Regular Wire

• Scissors

• Glue

Method:

1. Wrap the beginning of the vine around the topmost part of the wreath frame to hold it in place. Then flip the wreath over and begin to attach the vine to the outer ring using small pieces of wire. Continue all the way around the outer ring until you are back at the beginning of the vine.

2. Once that part of the vine is secure, repeat the process with the remainder of the vine, but this time attach it around the innermost ring. Once you are done you can arrange the leaves to cover any empty spaces.

3. Insert one of the long stemmed flower bunches into the side of the wreath and secure it in place by twisting its wired stem around the wreath frame. Place the second flowers below the first and secure in place the same way as before.

4. Separate the small flowers into single blooms. Then plan out how to place them around the wreath. They can be used to cover any empty spaces or in any pattern. If the flowers have a wire stem, they can be attached to the wreath by wrapping their wire. If not, cut off the stems and glue the flowers directly to the vine. 

5. To attach the birdhouse, pass the hanging cord of the birdhouse through the innermost ring and knot it twice. The birdhouse should hang from the top of the wreath, but still have most of its weight resting on the bottom of the wreath. If needed, secure the knot with a bit of glue. Then wrap a piece of the vine around the hanging cord and down towards the birdhouse.
