DIY Cat Toys: How to Make a Cat Treat Dispenser

Materials:

• Small Cardboard Box

• Cardboard Tube (the type used in paper towels or toilet tissue)

• Scissors or Box Cutter

• Glue Gun or Crafting Glue

• Acrylic Paint (optional)

Method:

1. First, cut the cardboard tube into smaller tubes of different sizes.

2. Then, cut off the top box flaps leaving the bottom closed. Cut off the top panel of the box. This should leave you with 4 sides (A large bottom panel, 2 sides, and one backside).

3. Figure out how you want to arrange the tubes in the box. There should be enough space between them that if a treat falls there, your kitty can get it out. Glue down each tube to the box then let dry completely.

4. Optional: paint the box’s side panels or decorate it however you wish. You can also leave it as is.

5. Once the dispenser is dry, add some of your cat’s favorite treats inside each tube and let him or her take them out.
