How to make a delicious combination of red velvet brownies and cheesecake.
Ingredients:
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter, Melted (112g)
- 1-¼ Cup Sugar (240g)
- 3 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (15g)
- ½ Teaspoon Baking Powder (2.5g)
- ¼ Teaspoon Salt (1.5g)
- 3 Tablespoons Milk (45ml)
- 1-½ Teaspoon Vanilla (7.5ml)
- 1 Teaspoon Red Gel Food Coloring
- 3 Eggs
- ¾ Cup Flour (102g)
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese, Softened (226g)
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and 1 cup of
sugar. Stir in cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, 1 teaspoon
vanilla, and food coloring. Mixing until well combined. Stir into
mixture 2 lightly beaten eggs. Fold in flour mixing until well combined.
Reserve ¼ cup of batter. Spread the remaining batter into an 8 by 8
inch square baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add
¼ cup of sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla, and 1 egg. Beat mixture just
until well blended.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the batter in pan, spreading it
out evenly. Drizzle the remaining ¼ cup of batter over the cream
cheese mixture. Drag a knife or spatula along the surface to create
swirls in the batter and cream cheese mixture.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until an
inserted toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely in
pan on a wire rack. Then chill in the refrigerator, covered, until set
and cold, about 4 hours. Slice into squares.
